Wednesday August 3rd, 2016

As part of the Summer Program, participants were given the challenge of producing, hosting and audio engineering their own original radio shows. August 3rd 2016 marked the day that two groups took on the radio show beast, with valiance and great intellect I must say. The first radio group to conquer the “beast” covered the topic of the new free undergraduate tuition program in Ontario. The program featured two guests including a University of Toronto professor. The second group to try their hand in live radio broadcasting covered the topic of the diversity issue in television and film, which featured a interview with an employee from TIFF. For both groups, it was their first time producing and hosting a radio show but from listening to the shows you wouldn’t be able to tell. Look out for the youth produced shows on Radio Regent in the near future.
