We just had our first staff meeting of the new year, and I must say, the new location is awesome! Spacious and bright! The internet and media lab still needs to be hooked up, and the main room will be getting a design treatment soon!

I'm excited for you all to see this place, and I think it will inspire our writing and creativity to new heights!

See you all tuesday at 4:15 for our first Catch Da Flava magazine meeting of the new year.

Radio - Media Affects on Teenagers

Today our topic is Media Effects on teenagers. Our host of the evening is Kelvin. We have Issic William and Tre in the house to talk about Media Effects. One of the most positive effects of media today is the ease with which teenagers have learned to embrace technology – be it the computers, Internet or the ipods. Today our host is Crazy Kelvin and we have Issic, William, and Tresvonne . Kelvin said if you have resolved to make this the year that you stamp out your smoking habit; over-the-counter availability of nicotine replacement therapy now provides easier access to proven quit-smoking aids. Even if you have tried to quit before and failed, do not let it get you down. On average, smokers try about four times before they quit for good. Start enjoying the rest of your smoke-free life! Even Allegheny County is trying to go smoke-free, and it has taken them a few tries as well.
While many people use the New Year as an incentive to finally stop drinking, most are not equipped to make such a drastic lifestyle change all at once. Many heavy drinkers fail to quit cold…
